4th of July Celebration

This year on the 4th we went to our friends the Linds' house for a potluck and fireworks. There were a lot of people there - friends from when we went to Free Methodist church that we rarely see, and so it was fun to see them all. Hannah made great friends with Thea, whose parents are our age. Thea turns 3 in September. She had actually met her at New Years, but they didn't quite remember each other, so they met again. She and Hannah had a ball! Hannah loved the fireworks, so I think next year we will take her to see the big ones they do in Independence or at the Riverfront. We actually thought about taking her this year, on the 3rd, but weren't able to. Plus 2 late nights in a row, one of them being a night before church probably wouldn't be too good with a grumpy girl. Isaiah wasn't too sure about the fireworks...he just sat cuddled on my lap with this sad, unsure look on his face, turning towards me everytime they were too loud. We finally got home about 11:30 pm, and crashed. And did the kids sleep in any longer Sunday morning?? Of course not! :)
