This last Friday (July 31) Hannah finished up 2 weeks of evening swimming lessons at Walker pool. She was in Level one and in order to pass, the kids had to be able to do 10 bobs in a row - without stopping and wiping their faces, just pausing enough to catch a quick breath. Unfortunately she didn't pass, but she was close! The teacher told me if she could do one more 2-week session this summer, she would have passed. That's ok though...she got used to the water and more confident in it, and loved splashing around. She even made a new friend, Erika, who was also 3. The 2nd week of lessons, it was just Hannah and Erika so they got a lot of one on one attention. And although she didn't pass she still got a nice little certificate w/ her name printed on it and a star, which she was excited about. I doubt we'll sign her up again this summer, just because we have so much going on during the month of August, but whenever we go swimming she'll practice. She even "practices" out of water...counting 1-2-3 and catches her breath, closes her eyes and pretends she's going under water. Its so cute! :) I was SO glad we signed her up for the evening classes because with the heat wave we had the last couple weeks, it was still roasting at 6:30 pm...so much that I wanted to jump in the pool and cool off too! Plus it wore her out good and she crashed each night...its tempting to sign up again just so she won't fight going to bed at night while it stays light later! :)Little Man just hanging out, trying to stay cool too, while Hannah swam
First day of lessons - all ready to jump in and go!
Waiting for the teacher to start class
The teacher would take each one out individually and play "Motor boat" or "Ring around the Rosy" and dunking them at the end, getting them used to the water.

I agree, Isaiah looks much happier on the blanket than in the stroller
