Happy 30th Birthday, David!!

This is going back about a month, but I just got copies of pics the other day from my mom. David's birthday - 30th, that is - was June 26. Well, he was at youth camp on that day, so we couldn't celebrate. A couple days after he got home, I threw a surprise party for him with some friends and family. They all met at Dayspring church a couple blocks from our home, and then walked over to the house, where they were to surprise him when we got home. Well, it was all good until we were about a block from home, and saw a couple of people that were already supposed to be at the house, walking down the street towards our place. So he saw them, of course, because he doesn't miss anything and then knew something was up...oh well, I guess I had it planned good until then. We had a wonderful taco dinner, cake and homemade ice cream - which was great because it was a VERY HOT day, but cooled off nicely just after the party started, which allowed people to wander to the backyard. Our AC couldn't keep up with so many people in the house! Here are a couple pics from the party...the first one is pretty dark, but you can see David in it - when we got home, instead of opening the door and waiting for people to say "surprise", he opened it and said "surprise" because he had figured it out from the people walking. :)
